Holiday Party – Dec. 17

Winter Coat Drive
Kathy Brandt is chairing the Winter Coat Drive. If you have any winter coats to donate to the homeless, please drop them off to Kathy
at her home, 53 Huron Road.
Recent Events
Halloween week was such fun this past October starting with the Costume Party – despite some “white
trash” neighbors crashing the wedding of Mr. & Mrs. Ghoulapasso, there was much “Monster Mashing” at
the reception. Guests on the “A” list of celebs included health guru,
Richard Simmons, Sonny & Cher, Keanu Reeves, Ellen DeGeneres, Anne Heche, Martha Stewart, Batman and Frankenstein! Thanks Jean and Paige for hosting! Thanks
to the Executive Board for a great job on the Halloween Parade and Pizza Party and to Noreen and the Village Recreation Department
for another great Haunted Firehouse – the costumes and the children in the community were fantastic!

Kate Dorry extends her
thanks to all of the residents who donated books to the book campaign - over 1,000 books were collected and delivered to the
Nassau County Department of Social Services. Special thanks to Julie Perillo, Programs Chairperson for coordinating a relaxing meeting in October – the free
massages were great! Jo Ellen thanks all club members who donated to Trick-or-Treat
for UNICEF!
Special thanks
to Mary O’D and to our members, neighbors and teens for completing another generous Thanksgiving Food Drive. On November 20th, over 70 boxes of food were collected and donated to St. Gerard Majella Soup Kitchen for
those who are hungry in Jamaica, Queens.
Congratulations
to Nancy Knese for a terrific Ladies Night on November 18th. Members
and friends got an early start on their holiday shopping and the club collected approximately $500 in vendor commissions for
our scholarships.
Bells were jingling when Linda Tanalski and her JWCB elves hosted our Annual Tree Lighting
Reception and Breakfast with Santa.
Linda wants to thank Cathie Wall, Josephine Sperrazza, Kathy Iverson, Patty & Wayne Weber, Shari and Carl Brosnan,
Wandie Curiale, Deanne Loos, Theresa Brown, Eileen Scott & Nancy Millus for their help. Santa hats off to the two Adam Tanalksis
and all of the bakers for their donations. Special thanks to the Village Hall decorating committee, Jo Ellen
Cortapasso, Donna Sherrer and Nancy Millus for making everything so festive and bright!
